“Get Back Up” —Toby Mac
Left hanging at the other end. Speechless. Dazed. Wet face. Contorted face. Swollen eyes. Confused. Hope running dry. The night a desert. Alone. Silence unbearable. The heart aching. Head spinning. Drowning in helplessness. Why, why, why.
Out of everything that could possibly be, humans show sadness through crying as a natural instinct. Why crying? Why tears that flow from the eyes? I believe that God hardwired this instinct into us when we are sad. Nothing is more obvious than someone crying genuine tears of sorrow. The eyes turn bloodshot and swollen and is a dead giveaway that someone is sad.
Humans were created to be in fellowship with one another. No one is meant to be alone. God didn’t intend for us to be alone when we suffer. That’s why we cry, so that others will see and that we won’t be alone. While people may say that they prefer to be alone, this only promotes negative thoughts of self-pity. Revealing your feeling is the beginning of healing. The beginning of true healing starts with others.
“Don’t Let It End” —Styx
Mistakes are bittersweet. They are meant to be committed, but never repeated. When they are repeated, it is a problem. The consequences of repeating a mistake… I can do nothing now except to learn from it, and to change myself. Fast. It’s all I can do. Change now. Before it’s too late. It might be too late already, but I can only try. I don’t deserve anything though.
“Strong Enough to Save” —Tenth Avenue North
What matters is not if you can spend time you already have on someone, but rather if you make time for someone. Also, live up to what you say. Everyone’s a hypocrite sometimes, but we can try to be less of one. Because I said this, I’m probably a hypocrite.
Nothing kills your happiness quicker than trouble in a relationship.
Stop taking me as joke when I’m serious.
